Beszámoló a belgiumi programról
A résztvevők egymást korábban nem ismerő, gépészetet, csőszerelést, és elektronikát tanuló 16-22 éves diákok voltak.
Az utazás Budapestről indulva az iskola autóbuszával zajlott. Ez lehetőséget adott arra is, hogy a belgiumi program helyszíneire is saját busszal menjünk. Az utazásnak ez a módja nagyon kényelmes volt, azonban ha olcsóbb volt a vonattal történő utazás, akkor azt választottuk.
A szállások kényelmesek voltak. Az ellátásunk megszervezése lehetőséget adott a résztvevők csapattá formálására, mivel néhányszor magunk készítettük az ételeinket. A közös étkezéseken kívül néha együtt bonyolítottuk a bevásárlást és a mosogatást is, ami szintén segített összekovácsolni a társaságot.
A programok mindig nagyon jól szervezettek voltak, így minden este azt éreztük, hogy az aznapi program volt az addigi legjobb. Mindegyik cég tudott olyat mutatni, ami a háromféle szakmát tanuló fiataloknak egyaránt érdekes volt. Az alkalmazott technológiákról már mind tanultak, de most volt lehetőségük látni is azokat a gyakorlatban. Ez segített a tanulóknak abban, hogy el tudják képzelni a jövőjüket „Európában”.
A projektmunka során egy elektronikus áramkört készítettek a tanulók, aminek a burkolatát szintén ők készítették el. Ez a közös munka a magyar és belga tanulók között, megkövetelte a közös nyelv használatát. A szituáció növelte a diákok motivációját a nyelvtanulás iránt.
A hétvégi programok lehetőséget adtak számos belga nevezetesség és turista látványosság megtekintésére, a brüsszeli Európai Parlamenttől, a belga tengerparton található Ostend városáig. Ezek a kulturális programok kiegészítették a szakmai érdekességeket.
A látogatás elérte a céljait. Tanulmányi szempontból: szemléltette az otthon tanult korszerű technológiákat, és indokolta a nyelvtanulás fontosságát. Pedagógiai szempontból: közösséggé alakította az egymást nem ismerő fiatalokat.
Összességében az út sikeres volt; mindenki szívesen részt venne egy hasonlóan körültekintő módon megszervezett, újabb tanulmányi úton.
Report of the programme in Belgium
The participants, who were 16-22 years old students of mechanical engineering, building engineering and electrical engineering, have not known each other before the school trip.
We travelled by the bus of our school from Budapest, so we could use the bus in Belgium to travel to different destinations of the programme. It was a really cosy way of travelling, but when it was cheaper to travel by train, we choose that way.
The quarters were all comfortable. We had the opportunity to form one group from the students, because sometimes we prepared our own food. Besides eating together every time, sometimes we did the shopping, even washing the dishes, that also helped to weld the students together.
The programmes were always well organized during our stay, so every evening we thought that day had been the very best by that time. Each company we visited could show things that were interesting and useful to all of the students from different trades. The students had already studied about the technologies that could be seen, but it was the first time they had seen them in practice. This helped the students to imagine their future in “Europe”.
During the project work the students made an electrical circuit, and they made the housing as well. The cooperative activity of the Hungarian and Belgian students required to use a common foreign language. This situation improved all the students’ interest in studying foreign languages.
The weekends opened the door to visit a lot of interesting Belgian sights and tourist attractions, from the European Parliament in Brussels to the seaside in Ostend on the Belgian coast. These cultural programmes completed the professional curiosities.
The visit has achieved its goals. From academic point of view: it demonstrated the modern technologies studied at home in Hungary, and justified the importance of learning foreign languages. From pedagogic point of view: the students, who had not known each other, formed a community.
On the whole the trip was successful; everybody would willingly take part in a similar, new school excursion, which is circumspectly organized - in the same way as it was.
